Start your appraisal
How it works
Three steps, and you only do the first one.
Tell us about the vehicle
Send the year, make, model or VIN, plus why you need the appraisal and when.
We inspect and research
We review photos or visit in person, then compare against recent real-world sales.
You get a signed report
A clear written value, with the evidence behind it, ready to hand to whoever asked.
Appraisals for real-life situations
Each report is written for the person who will read it: a judge, a trustee, an adjuster, or you.
Bankruptcy
Fair market value reports for trustees and filers, so exemptions are claimed correctly.
Divorce
A neutral number both sides can work from when dividing property.
Estates and legal claims
Date-of-death values, probate, and dispute support, with expert testimony if needed.
Insurance claims
Total loss and diminished value reports when you disagree with the settlement offer.
Buying or selling
Know what a vehicle is really worth before you sign or list it.
Classic and personal
Collector cars, modified builds, and gifts or donations that need a documented value.
Independent by design
XL Legacy Appraisals LLC started because we kept seeing the same problem: the people valuing a vehicle often had something to gain from the answer. Dealers want inventory, adjusters want lower payouts, and sellers want higher prices.
We never buy, sell, or broker vehicles. Our work is centered on one thing—a fair, well-supported valuation, backed by market research, vehicle inspections, and documentation.

Common questions
How much does an appraisal cost?
Pricing is a flat fee based on the purpose and vehicle type. We quote before we start, with no surprises.
Is a virtual appraisal as good as an in-person one?
For most vehicles, yes. We use detailed photos, video, and records. For classics, major damage, or contested cases, an in-person inspection is stronger, and we'll tell you if it's needed.
Will courts and insurers accept your report?
Our certified appraisals follow recognized professional standards and include comparable market data, condition notes, and photographs. They are prepared for use by attorneys, courts, and insurers and carry legal weight. Acceptance in a specific matter is determined by the relevant court or insurer.
What should I have ready?
The VIN, current mileage, and the title or registration. Also helpful: service records, a list of options and modifications, and any damage reports or photos.
How long does it take?
Most reports are delivered within 2 business days of receiving your information. If you have a court or claim deadline, tell us on the form and we'll plan around it.
